Summer School History

The Chemical Engineering Summer School has a long history. While not the first faculty Summer School started by ASEE (which was founded in 1893 as the Society for the Promotion of Engineering Education (SPEE) and became ASEE in 1946), it is the only one remaining.

An article “History of the ChE Summer Schools” was published in the Chemical Engineering Education Journal (CEE) in 2012 and gives more background on the history.
