Fundraising Committee

These are the duties of Fundraising Committee of the Chemical Engineering Division of ASEE. This document provides information and timelines on activities that the fundraising committee should follow for activities and as such should be updated by current and upcoming fundraising committee members and division leadership. It. Further information on ASEE and general society or conference programmatic issues should be obtained from ASEE Headquarters Staff.

  • The Fundraising Committee shall consist of a Fundraising Committee Chair and up to two other members of the Division. The Chair of the Division shall appoint the Chair of the Fundraising Committee. The Fundraising Committee Chair shall appoint the other committee members.
  • The appointed Fundraising Committee Chair’s duties include appointing up to two other division members to serve on the committee.
  • The Fundraising Committee is responsible for communicating with prospective donors, soliciting and arranging donations, and leading other fundraising activities.
  • Additional Duties:

      • Fundraising Chair works with committee member to identify fundraising opportunities. Keeps Executive Committee apprised of new donations and opportunities.
    • November
      • Fundraising Chair (voting member) and committee members (non-voting members) attend the Executive Committee Meeting held at the AIChE Annual Meeting. A report on fundraising activities is prepared which includes statistics and activities from the past year. If unable to attend, the report is forwarded to the Division Chair who presents the report. Fundraising Committee members use the AIChE Conference as an opportunity to connect with donors from the private and public sector.
